Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone is set to become the first Indian celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a historic moment that celebrates her rising global impact. The recognition will be officially conferred in 2026, placing her among the world’s most influential artists in film and entertainment.The announcement was made by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which revealed the 2026 inductee list across film, music, television, and other performing arts. Padukone will receive her star in the Motion Pictures category—alongside international names like Emily Blunt, Rami Malek, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, and Stanley Tucci.
A Journey from Bollywood to Global Stardom
Deepika first captured hearts with her 2007 debut in Om Shanti Om, a blockbuster hit that earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Over the years, she has become one of Bollywood’s most respected and bankable stars, with acclaimed performances in films like Piku, Padmaavat, and Chhapaak.In 2017, Padukone took a bold leap into Hollywood with xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel, marking her international screen debut.
