Justin Bieber to Release Long-Awaited Seventh Album This Friday

Justin Bieber is officially back. The pop superstar’s seventh studio album is set to drop this Friday, July 11, via Def Jam, multiple sources have confirmed exclusively to The Hollywood Reporter.

The project marks Bieber’s first full-length album in four years, following 2021’s Justice. Though reps for the singer and label have declined to comment publicly, excitement is already snowballing as clues point to the album’s imminent arrival.

Recorded in Iceland, Teased Around the Globe

As previously reported, Bieber traveled to Iceland in late April, where he held private jam sessions and wrapped final production on the album. The Nordic retreat reportedly served as a creative escape, helping the artist “vibe out” and focus with a handpicked team of collaborators.

A billboard spotted in Iceland—and now also in Los Angeles—depicts Bieber alongside the word “Swag,” fueling speculation that this could be the title of the upcoming album. While no official confirmation has been made, the minimal and mysterious campaign has fans on edge.

Fresh Collaborators, New Sound

Bieber is said to have tapped U.K. singer-songwriter Sekou and producer Dylan Wiggins—whose credits include The Weeknd’s “Die For You” and Kali Uchis’ “I Wish You Roses.” Sources say Bieber also recruited up-and-coming talent he discovered via Instagram and DMs, signaling a more grassroots, creatively experimental approach for this record.

A New Chapter in Bieber’s Life

A lot has changed in the pop icon’s world since his last album. In 2023, he split from longtime manager Scooter Braun, marking a major career shift. Just last month, Braun announced his departure as CEO of Hybe America, closing the book on an era of artist management that helped shape Bieber’s rise.

On a personal level, Bieber became a father last year with wife Hailey Bieber, a milestone that may influence the emotional and thematic depth of the new album.

All Eyes on Friday

With fans now counting down the hours, Friday’s release is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest musical moments. Whether titled Swag or something else entirely, Bieber’s seventh album marks the start of a new era—professionally, personally, and creatively.
