Flippin’ the Script: Sunset Strip’s Patty Boys Is LA’s Most Original Burger Concept — And It Might Just Be the City’s Next Big Thing

Written by Nia Bowers
When the bustle of a night out is coming to a close and you’re craving a late-night bite, look no further than Patty Boys. This hot new burger joint at the heart of the Sunset Strip is reinventing Los Angeles’s burger game.
Patty Boys brings something rare to the table — a smart concept, a tight menu, and truly impressive execution. Patty Boys takes the emphasis off of fashy, over-the-top accoutrements and reminds us of what really makes a burger great: the patty. The idea is simple; let the foundation speak for itself, then build on top of it.
Five patty options form the backbone of the menu. There’s the beef patty — a timeless Wagyu-grade blend, seared to a perfect crust with rich, buttery marbling. Then there’s the chicken patty, which bursts with juiciness and favor while maintaining a lean, protein-forward profle. The lamb patty offers a robust, slightly earthy favor — not too gamey, but distinct enough to set it apart from the usual beef-on-beef lineup. The bacon-blend patty may be the most intriguing. It’s not just a hunk of bacon turned into a patty, but a seasoned blend of smoked bacon with prime beef, bringing a smoky, savory richness without overwhelming the balance of the burger. The falafel patty, a blend of chickpeas and assorted vegetables, rounds out the lineup with an herb-forward favor and crispy texture that proves Patty Boys knows how to play to the herbivores, too.
Once the patty is chosen, diners select from a range of signature builds, each a thoughtfully curated combination of toppings, sauces, and textures that elevate the experience beyond your average fast-casual fare.
The menu features three traditional styles, offering time-honored familiar favors, and three Chef’s Picks that take a typical burger to the next level.
The OG brings that traditional American comfort with American cheese, pickles, diced onions, mustard, and ketchup. It’s a familiar favor profle, but with Patty Boys’ top-shelf ingredients, it hits harder — cleaner, juicier, and more precise than what you’ll fnd at most spots.
The Oklahoma is a smash burger afcionado’s dream: grilled onions pressed into the patty as it hits the fat top, melted white cheddar, pickles, and their signature Icon Sauce, a creamy, tangy secret blend with the potential to become a California staple.
The Classic is, well, a classic — a layered, hearty burger that hits every nostalgic note with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, American cheese, and Icon Sauce.
The Patty Boy, the namesake build, is where things get wild in the best way with white cheddar, pepperoni chips, fresh tomato, hickory sauce, and mustard pickle slaw. It’s smoky, tangy, rich, and crunchy — creating a rollercoaster of favor without becoming too much. (It is not spicy.) With the bacon or Wagyu patty, it’s easily one of the most memorable burgers in town.
The Korean Banger is a feast with a twist, topped with American cheese, crispy beans, kimchi mayo, crispy onions, pickles, lettuce, and Korean sesame jam. Its flavor profile is totally distinct from its peers, but in the best way.
The Philly Beast takes us to the opposite coast and pays some respect to the City of Brotherly Love. It enhances a classic cheesesteak with smashed beef chili, white cheddar, pepperoni chips, onions, fresh jalapeño, lettuce, pickles, and our signature Iron Sauce.
Walk inside Patty Boys and it’s immediately clear that the space was crafted with care and intention. The mural-covered walls, bold color accents, and minimalist industrial design scream LA street energy, but with refinement. The space feels raw, yet curated, reflecting the confidence of the menu: clean, modern, bold.
The brilliance of Patty Boys is in how it combines fast-casual efficiency with elevated ingredients. You order at the counter. You can be out the door in under 10 minutes if you want to be, or you can stay a while. Either way, you’re not eating something slapped together in a rush; every burger is freshly made to order and enveloped in sleek packaging, satisfying both your eyes and your tastebuds.
This spot is exactly where you want to be after a night out, an afternoon gym run, or a stroll down the Sunset Strip. Its prime location attracts Angelenos from all over the city, and just blocks away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's destined to become a must-visit tourist destination, too.
Drop by Patty Boys, and you won’t be able to resist coming back for more.
