The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards lit up the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles with an evening celebrating the best in television. Hosted by Nate Bargatze, the ceremony showcased record-setting nominations, surprising wins, and historic firsts.Leading the field was Severance with 27 nominations, followed closely by The Penguin with 24 nods. Comedy made history as Seth Rogen and Apple TV+’s The Studio became the most-nominated first-year comedy series ever, earning 23 nominations and tying The Bear’s 2024 record.

In the drama category, The Pitt clinched Outstanding Drama Series, while Britt Lower of Severance won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. On the comedy side, The Studio scored Outstanding Comedy Series, and Seth Rogen himself took home Outstanding Actor in a Comedy.The limited series category saw Adolescence crowned Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, with Stephen Graham winning Lead Actor for his role in the same project. Cristin Miliotti also earned recognition for her performance in The Penguin.
Other major highlights included Jean Smart’s win for Hacks, Ayo Edebiri continuing her awards momentum with The Bear, and 100 Foot Wave taking home the award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.
