Lacey Taylor’s fitness and strength training is all about seeing someone get stronger physically and mentally. Her ideal client is a woman who seeks genuine, lasting change, is committed, values authenticity, and is willing to put in the necessary work. She is very clear; she likes to work with women who want to change their bodies. Her training focuses on empowering women.

Women lead busy lives, and Lacey tailors her strength training programs to suit the lifestyles of these busy women. Her programs are effective, and she pushes them for a good hour of the day. She finds weaknesses in their bodies and makes them stronger, physically and mentally. She supports them when it gets tough or when they are discouraged or want to give up.

Using Fitness as a Healing Tool After Trauma

Lacey’s programs are hard because hard things make you stronger. She shares one of her success stories. She had been working with a client for about a year when she told Lacey she was writing a speech about her recovery from the suicide attempt of her husband. She mentioned she was going to talk about how much Lacey helped her through her recovery.

Lacey’s workouts helped to heal her. Her client mentioned something she had told her one day, that her program workouts were going to be hard, so that she would get stronger. It resonated with her and her recovery from her husband’s suicide attempt. Lacey felt happy that she was able to help her through that difficult time. Lacey says she is still one of her best clients and is very committed to her workouts.

Lacey feels it is success stories like this that move her and embody why she does what she is doing. She understands their struggles; she understands their pain and uses it to make them strong and resilient. Clients like the above one make her entire fitness and strength training program meaningful. For Lacey, it is giving them the space to change themselves and find their strength all over again.

Women think lifting heavy weights is not good, and it might make them bulky. That is not the case because it is very difficult for women to get bulky. After all, they do not have the testosterone to get bulky like a man. Lacey wants to continue encouraging, empowering, and motivating women. She loves helping people and seeing them grow strong. She believes in encouraging and empowering them and teaching them the benefits of exercise. She motivates them to take care of themselves and overcome challenges.

Client stories and experiences are always inspiring to Lacey, and it gives her immense pleasure to see them thrive through their challenges and traumas. Sometimes it is these real stories and experiences of clients that give that extra edge to continue working towards empowering women.

Lacey also believes movement is important to get the heart rate up. She recommends taking baby steps. It can be walking outdoors, fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. All these can do wonders to a person’s mindset and the way they feel, according to Lacey. She recommends baby steps and consistency for anyone who is getting started. Lacey is also working on her social media community so that she can connect with more women.

Growth takes time, and Lacey advises people not to rush. She asks them to be kind to themselves, honor every step, and stress the importance of progress and not perfection. There is a sense of belonging and safety for these women as they reclaim and rebuild their lives.
