Marvel's 'Ironheart' Cast Talks Power, Identity, and Magic at Star-Studded Premiere

‘Ironheart’ Cast Explores Heroism, Power, and Transformation at Hollywood Premiere
The cast of Marvel Television’s highly anticipated new series "Ironheart" turned heads at its Hollywood red carpet premiere, celebrating a story that merges genius tech, supernatural power, and emotional depth. Premiering June 24 on Disney+, the series introduces fans to an uncharted corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Dominique Thorne Returns as Riri Williams
Leading the series is Dominique Thorne, reprising her role as Riri Williams, the brilliant young inventor we first met in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This time, Riri is center stage—grappling with her rising power, lingering grief, and what it really means to become a hero.“There really is a whole chapter of the MCU we haven't explored, and now we finally get to dive into it,” Thorne told On The Red Carpet. “She wasn’t ready for this in Wakanda Forever. She wanted to invent, contribute, and stay under the radar. But now she’s being pushed to grow, to be honest about who she is—and who Ironheart will become.”
Anthony Ramos Steps Into Darkness as 'The Hood'
Anthony Ramos brings depth and danger as Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, a villainous figure wielding dark magical powers. Blending street smarts with the supernatural, he’s not your average bad guy—and Ramos relished the complexity.“I love playing villains,” Ramos said. “We all have those darker thoughts sometimes, but Parker acts on them. He just owns it. That was fun to play with—someone who doesn’t hide their flaws but leans into them.”
Power, Choices, and Shades of Gray
As the battle between light and darkness unfolds, Ironheart explores how power affects people differently. Manny Montana, who plays a mysterious supporting character, highlighted the show's emotional depth.“Everyone says what good they’d do with power—until they actually have it,” he said. “This series shows how relationships and values change when power enters the room. You're going to love these characters, hate them, and question them. And that’s what makes for a great show.”
More Than Just Superheroes
With a cast that includes Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Anji White, Cree Summer, LaRoyce Hawkins, Shakira Barrera, Sonia Denis, Zoe Terakes, and Shea Couleé, Ironheart blends emotional storytelling with cutting-edge visuals and grounded performances. The series is executive produced by Ryan Coogler, known for helming Black Panther, and it promises to push boundaries in how superhero stories are told—particularly when it comes to identity, innovation, and inner conflict.
