Redheaded Actor Scott Rose-Marsh Reportedly Screen-Tests for James Bond Role

The race to find the next James Bond has taken another surprising turn — and this time, the spotlight is on a redhead.

According to an insider close to the production, Scott Rose-Marsh, a 37-year-old British actor best known for Krays: Code of Silence and Wolves of War, reportedly screen-tested for the iconic role in late June. The session allegedly took place under the watch of newly signed director Denis Villeneuve, with Rose-Marsh reading sides from the 1995 classic GoldenEye. He may have also tested with material from the Bond 26 script currently being penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

One clear instruction was given before the cameras rolled: Don’t impersonate a previous Bond.

Shifting Expectations for Bond 26

If true, Rose-Marsh’s involvement could challenge long-standing speculation that Amazon, which purchased the Bond franchise for around $1 billion, was seeking a younger, 20-something actor to appeal to new audiences.

However, there’s a potential sticking point — his hair. Bond has never been portrayed by a redhead, and even Daniel Craig’s blond locks sparked controversy when his casting was announced in 2005. Neither Rose-Marsh’s representatives nor Amazon have commented on the rumor, keeping the mystery alive.

For now, the only certainty is that the hunt for the next 007 continues — and fans will be watching every twist and turn.
